November 27th until December 4, Reinhard will travel
to B.C. Canada working with Andalusian and
Lusitanian Stallions including choreography to prepare
horses and riders for a January “Andalusian  Dancing
Stallions” show.
Canada trip report: Getting to Kenlowna.B.C. was
problematic due to the early and unusual cold wave
with temperatures to - six and with lots of snow, which
resulted in, canceled and delayed flights out of
Vancouver resulting in a 7 hours wait and the luggage
arrived 24 hours later. Only vehicles with 4 wheel drive
and spikes could make it up to the house and further
up to the upper barn and the arena. We worked the 8
Stallions daily in preparation for the January show in
Chilliwack B.C. Reinhard was combining riders with
different horses to find the right combination. The daily
training included preparation for individual, Pas de
Deux and Pas de Quarte numbers and for a schooling
session. Reinhard had the pleasure of working with
Susana, Marion, Megan, Jane, Jonathan and Luis all of
them very talented professional riders.
December, Reinhard will start the training of
Stallions at the new place of Natasha and Tito
Pontecorvo, breeders of the Russian Akhal-Tece
horses in Stockdale, Texas. The barn and the arena
should be finished by the end of November.
2007
January 2nd until January 8, Reinhard will travel to B.C, Canada to assist with
final preparations for the Andalusian Dancing Stallions Show on January 5, 6 and
7th, including personal performances.

The owner of the touring World Famous Lipizzaner Stallions did send me an
e-mail offering me tickets for the Austin, TX  I decided to attend and l invite a few
friends/students too. The trip to Austin to see the Lipizzaner Show was fun some
of us arrived early and had time for a snack before meeting with the rest and I
could give out the tickets. I got a big surprise when the show started after the
narrator finished singing the nation anthem he made an announcement we
welcomed a special guest to the show, the first head trainer of the Royal
Lipizzaner Stallion Show who know resides and works in San Antonio,
Reinhard Dorsch, please stand up and suddenly I got the spotlights
on me. It was very nice to receive this kind of recognition in front
of  five thousand  people.

June 2 and 3 Reinhard will give a clinic at College Station, Texas
The visit to the Farm of Marcetta & Donald
Darensbourg was a very pleasant one just like the prior
visits. Saturday included rides from Donna, Sharon,
Geneva,Marcetta,Jenny, Stacy and Mallory. Every
rider showed enthusiasm and desire to learn more
about the basics of classic dressage training. Donna,
Jenny and Marcetta already participate on prior clinics
and showed some remarkable improvements,
congratulations to each of them. A few of us had a nice
relaxing get together after the day came to an end.
On Sunday the lesson program includes the following
riders: Marcetta, Donna, Jenny, Marcetta, Stacy and
Mallory. Each one showed considerable improvement
from the prior day. It is very rewarding to work with
such dedicated riders.
June 9 schooling show at Fort Sam Equestrian Center S.A, TX
Veronica on her five year old TB gelding Change had a great show with a blue
ribbon at Training level test 4 with a score of 66 and a third at Training level test

July 9-29 Reinhard will work with horses and riders of the World Famous
Lipizzaner Stallions in Florida
Report:The time I spend at the headquarter of the World
Famous Lipizzaner Stallions in Oviedo (Orlando) was very
pleasant. The quality of the Stallions at this
facility is of high
quality with many of them have the potential to achieve the
highest level either at the ground or for the airs above the
ground. I had the pleasure to ride many of them providing me
with a first hand experience of the characteristic and potential
of each Stallion which enabled me to recommend a training
program based on the guidelines of the classic
dressage
training. It was very rewarding to work with riders eager to
listen and learn about the proper methods of getting the best
results  and how to  building a relationship with each Stallion
trying to be full harmony with the horse since only then the
horse will want to work with the rider and being able to
achieve his full potential. I would like to congratulate the
following riders: Lori, Amanda, Judith and Crystal for their
love towards horses, their work ethic and their dedication to
the art of dressage and to those beautiful Stallions. Lauren,
the barn manager had the horses, stables and the arena in top
conditions with the help of devoted people that care and
enjoy working with those magnificent horses. I want to
congratulate Gary Lashinsky the owner of the WFLS of
having surrounded him with a great team in Oviedo. Gary
himself is recuperating from a very bad car crash at the
speedway track during the last days of June in College Station
Texas. I wish him the very best for a full  recovery.
August 25-26 Reinhard will give a clinic at College Station, Texas
Due to the heat, the Saturday program was scheduled for 7:30 am with
seven rides, consisted of two rides each by Marcetta and Donna and
one ride each by Stacy, Karen and Jenny. On Sunday, we started at
8:15 am due to one scratch with two rides by Marcetta and one each
by Donna, Stacy, Jenny and Mallory. All riders showed improvement
from the last time I had the pleasure to work with them. Karen was a
newcomer for me; she is a very talented young rider who just spend
part of her summer with Hans Biss in Germany. All riders that rode on
Saturday showed clear progress the next day, which is always
gratifying for an instructor. Donna with her big young mare showed
some very nice improvement in shoulder inn and side pass I am certain
she will be quite successful with Elisa. Marcetta had some great rides
on her mare Gwen with the highpoint being the serpentines with flying
changes that were fluent and in complete harmony between horse and
rider.

February 10   "Behind the Curtains"  Reinhard was
contracted by the owner, (Gary Lashinsky), of the "
World
Famous Lipizzaner Stallion
s" to review two shows at the
American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.  It was a very
interesting trip and a welcome change of scenery. It was a
pleasure to meet the new head rider, Victor  Pozzo,  as well
as some of the associate and riders backstage. The
performances were well attended and the public did not spare
with their applause. The music was well chosen and the
numbers very well choreographed. It is always a pleasure to
see how well the show is accepted and enjoyed by the public.
It is truly hard work for the rider and the horses to travel
from city to city, from state to state across the US throughout
the year. It takes true dedication from both riders and horses
to perform at this level of riding on a constant schedule and
they deserve our respect and support.
It is always a pleasure to arrive at the Look Smart Farm, the place is so
beautiful and peaceful with a very nice covered arena. Two of the riders
did some driving to get there, Pam made the trip from Nacogdoches and
Sally from Houston.  Due to the Easter weekend  the clinic started on
Friday afternoon with 6 rides and 8 on Saturday. The following riders
participated: Marcetta 4 rides, Sharon 2 rides, Pam 2 rides, Jenny 2-rides,
Karen 1 ride, Donna 1 ride and Sally 1 ride.
The clinic at Kay Skillern’s place was fun with great food and handouts
about track figures and the Pas de Deux rulings at the lunch break. There
was one individual lesson: Elizabeth Claus and  several Pas de Deux lessons
with the following participants: Linda Garriott, Kay Skillern,
Cynthia Castleberry, Rose Hintz, Judy Gibney,Bobbie Pollard
Patti Parent and  Mary Klein
Although the Retama Equestrian Center is one of the largest facilities in the
greater San Antonio, area with about 150 horses it is still great that five of
the eight participants hauled there horses in from other places. The
following riders participated: Veronica, Renee, Bill, Lisa, Lori, Jean, Natalie
and Sarah. Everybody took individual lessons with the exception of Renee
and Bill riding Pas de Deux movements
